Mamie Jenkins aka: Black Barbie is a freelance petite plus model who was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI in 1978. Modeling is her passion, her lifelong dream and she is dedicated and determined to break into the professional modeling industry, and to expand her modeling portfolio. As a child Mamie was in a local fashion show that she begged her father to have her participate in. From 1998-2000 Mamie was a print model for a local magazine called Shades of Black Magazine and even graced the cover in 2000. Mamie's recent accomplishments include being a signature model for Safronia Ivory Designs, and she was chosen as the spotlight model for Plus Model Magazine in December 2008. Mamie would like to network with photographers, clothing designers, makeup artists, stylists, graphic designers, and models. She is seeking opportunities in plus modeling, print, runway, catalog and commercial print. She is available for paid work and tfcd as well. She enjoys traveling and is willing to travel if expenses are covered. |
